nrw-beer-bottles-33cl-brown-26mm-crown-cap-new
NRW Beer Bottles 33cl Brown (26mm Crown Cap) - New Glass Bottles for Homebrewing

The NRW bottle is the quiet classic of German brewing — the sturdy, broad-shouldered 33cl workhorse that filled West German crates for decades, built thick to survive returnable-bottle life and reused batch after batch. These are brand new, never-filled bottles in deep amber glass with the standard 26mm crown cap mouth: rinse, sanitise, fill, cap — no stripping old labels, no mystery residue, no gamble on what someone bottled before you.

At 33cl the NRW is the single-serve format for bottle-conditioned beer: one bottle, one proper glass, and the right portion for tastings, competition entries and strong styles. The stout NRW build takes bottle-conditioning pressure in stride, and the low shoulder stacks stable in crates and on shelves. Amber glass earns its keep the usual way — blocking the UV light that skunks hop compounds in minutes, so the beer tastes brewed, not light-struck. Caps go on with any standard 26mm capper and cost pennies; the bottles themselves go around for years.

Choose your quantity: a 6-pack to try the format, a 12-pack for a split batch, or the 24-pack that packages a good share of a 20-litre brew — roughly 60 bottles does a full batch, so brewers typically run two or three 24-packs per brew day. Picking up in Alkmaar? These travel best by crate — message us via WhatsApp and collect as many as you need.

Key features

Classic German NRW shape — sturdy, broad-shouldered, built for reuse

Brand new, never filled — no label stripping, no residue, no surprises

Standard 26mm crown cap mouth — works with any standard capper

Amber glass blocks UV light and protects hop character

Takes bottle-conditioning carbonation reliably, batch after batch

Three pack sizes: 6, 12 or 24 bottles

Usage

Best suited for: bottling and bottle-conditioning beer, cider and mead; competition entries; tastings; building a reusable bottle stock
Compatible with: 26mm crown caps, standard bottle cappers, bottling wands and auto-siphons
Sizing guide: a typical 20L batch needs ~60 bottles — two to three 24-packs covers a brew day.

Quick facts

Brand: CraftBrew

Type: NRW beer bottle — new, never filled

Capacity: 33cl (330ml) per bottle

Also known as: bierfles, NRW fles, bierflesjes 33cl

Colour: brown / amber glass — UV protective

Closure: 26mm crown cap (caps sold separately)

Pack sizes: 6, 12 or 24 bottles

Use: bottling, bottle conditioning, competitions, tastings

Related products

26mm Silver Crown Caps — the caps these bottles are made for

Twin Lever Bottle Capper 26mm — seals the whole batch in minutes

Carbonation Drops 250g — one drop per bottle, perfectly primed

FastWasher 24 — rinses a full 24-pack simultaneously before filling

Steinie Beer Bottles 33cl — Box of 24 — the stubby sibling, same 26mm caps

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0932/6578/9303/files/beer-bottle-nrw-50-cl-brown-26-mm-box-12-pcs.jpg?v=1791670176
