Brewtools Butterfly Valve TC 2" - Stainless Sanitary Valve for Fermenters

The Brewtools Butterfly Valve TC 2" is a stainless steel sanitary valve with an EPDM seal, developed specifically for fermenter duty — where hygiene, dead-space-free flow paths, and easy cleaning decide whether a valve belongs on the cold side of a brewery at all. Built from high-quality stainless steel with a food-grade EPDM seat, it mounts between any standard 2" Tri-Clamp connections and opens or closes the full 2" bore with a quarter-turn of the handle.

The reason butterfly valves are the professional standard on fermenters — and the reason Brewtools builds their fermenter ecosystem around them — comes down to what's inside. A ball valve traps liquid in the cavity between the ball and its seals every time it cycles, creating a hidden pocket that cleaning solution never properly reaches and bacteria happily colonises between batches. A butterfly valve has no such cavity: a single disc on a shaft, sealing against an exposed EPDM seat, with every wetted surface visible and reachable the moment the clamp comes off. It disassembles in seconds for inspection, cleans completely, and gives contamination nowhere to hide — exactly what you want on the valve that touches finished beer.

In the Brewtools ecosystem, this is the valve that earns its keep on the MiniUni™ bottom port: paired with the MiniUni™ Leg Kit for clearance and a 2" TC elbow, it turns the tank into a bottom-dumping vessel — drop settled yeast and trub unitank-style, or drain and rack from the lowest point. Beyond that, it serves anywhere a sanitary 2" TC shut-off is needed: dump valves, racking arms, transfer lines, and general cold-side plumbing.
