The Cannular Semi-Auto Canning Machine CDLE is a compact bench-top can seamer that brings professional-quality can sealing to homebrewers, brewpubs, and nano breweries — seaming a can in roughly 3 seconds at the press of a button. Built by KegLand, the Cannular has done more than any other machine to make canning genuinely accessible at homebrew scale, and this CDLE edition is the version built for the European market: the same Semi-Auto machine, supplied with the CDL seaming chuck pre-fitted and matched to the CDL-profile 202 can ends that European can suppliers ship as standard.

That chuck detail matters more than it sounds. A can seamer's chuck must precisely match the profile of the can end it's seaming — a mismatched chuck produces incomplete double seams, leaking cans, and lost beer. Can ends come in different profiles even at the same 202 diameter: the B64 profile common in Australia and the US, and the CDL profile widely used by European can manufacturers. The CDLE edition takes the guesswork out for European brewers — the CDL chuck is factory-fitted, so cans sourced from European suppliers seam correctly straight out of the box, no chuck swaps, no compatibility roulette.

The Semi-Auto operation is the machine's other defining feature. On a manual seamer, seam quality varies with how hard and how evenly the operator pulls the lever — the single biggest source of leaking cans at small scale. The Semi-Auto eliminates operator variability completely: place the filled can and lid on the platform, turn the platform lever to raise the can snug against the chuck, press the button, and the machine executes the full seaming cycle itself. Every can gets the same seam, whether it's your first of the day or your two-hundredth. Once tuned, the machine needs nothing more than a drop of oil on the bearings — no other maintenance for 50,000 cans.

The adjustable platform handles all standard 202-body cans — 330ml, 355ml, 440ml, and 500ml — by simply raising or lowering the table to match the can height. Construction is built for the wet reality of canning: a 304 stainless steel platform, hammered sheet metal body with stainless fasteners, rubber feet, and built-in brackets for permanently mounting the unit to a bench. The entire machine runs on safe 24V DC power — so a spilled beer over the seamer is a mess, not an electrocution hazard, and washdown cleaning is completely safe.

One operator seams comfortably solo; a two-person team — one filling, one seaming — turns the Cannular into a genuine small production line for nano breweries and taprooms canning to order.

What you need on day one
The Cannular Semi-Auto CDLE does not include a power supply. To run the machine, add the Cannular 24V Pro Transformer — it connects to the Anderson socket on the back of the unit and plugs into a standard 220V outlet. Recommended companions: the Cannular Can and Bottle Filler for counter-pressure filling, and 440ml cans with CDL-profile 202 ends.
