Platinum-cured silicone tubing that shrugs off boiling wort: 16 mm bore, 2.5 mm wall, food-grade and flexible from freezer to kettle. This is the hose for the hot side of the brewery — whirlpool returns, kettle drains, immersion chiller connections — where PVC goes soft and smells of plastic.

Silicone stays flexible at mash and boil temperatures, imparts zero taste, and slides over 15–17 mm barbs with a satisfying seal. Sold per meter: order 3, get one continuous 3-metre length cut off the roll.

Usage

• Use for hot-side transfers; keep thin-wall PVC for cold side only
• Push 2–3 cm over the barb; a hose clamp is cheap insurance above 80°C
