Yakima Chief Krush T90 Hop Pellets - Mango, Guava & Berry Fruit Aroma Hops (HBC 586)

Price: €5,90

Krush® hop pellets are the newest release from the Hop Breeding Company — the breeding programme behind Citra, Mosaic, and Sabro — and one of the most anticipated hop launches in modern craft brewing. Developed under the experimental designation HBC 586 and officially released in 2024 after a seventeen-year development and selection process, Krush® arrived with a reputation already built at Yakima Valley hop harvests, where brewers had been queueing up to work with it for years before it even had a name.

What defines Krush® is a layered, saturated fruit profile that Yakima Chief themselves describe as a fruit cocktail in cone form. Ripe mango and guava lead, backed by rich stone fruit peach, fresh-sliced navel orange, and mixed berry — all supported by a slight resinous, dank edge that keeps the profile punchy and distinctly American rather than one-dimensionally sweet. It is the mango that brewers keep coming back to: intense, ripe, and persistent, with early-adopting craft breweries describing the result as liquid mango smoothie in the glass. Krush® performs at its absolute best in the dry hop and whirlpool, where its saturated fruit character develops fully — and its remarkable versatility means it delivers first-rate results across virtually every style and in combination with almost any other variety.

With a solid alpha acid content, Krush® also functions as a capable dual-purpose hop — though bittering with it is somewhat beside the point when the aroma is this good.

Hop pellets Processed hop cones compressed into pellets for improved storage, stability, and ease of use in brewing.
