Bestmalz Chit Malt 2-3 EBC
Bestmalz Chit Malt is a lightly modified specialty malt designed to enhance foam stability, body, and mouthfeel without adding noticeable colour or strong flavour. With a very pale colour of 2–3 EBC, it preserves the brightness of your beer while improving its structure.
Unlike fully modified malts, chit malt retains a higher level of proteins and beta-glucans, which contribute to better head retention, improved mouthfeel, and a more stable foam. It is especially useful in modern brewing where texture and head quality are key.
Chit malt is a popular choice for brewers looking to fine-tune their recipes, particularly in lagers, pilsners, and hop-forward styles, where it enhances body without impacting flavour balance.
