Driedelige Bolkraan 1/2" - 3-Piece Stainless Ball Valve + Weldless Bulkhead Kit, 304, 1000 WOG
Turn any pot into a brew kettle. This kit is a driedelige bolkraan — a 3-piece stainless ball valve — plus the weldless bulkhead (doorvoerkit) in the same box: drill one hole, push the threaded nipple through, tighten the locknut over the gasket, thread the valve on — ten minutes, no welding, no plumber. 1/2" BSP throughout, 304 stainless, rated 1000 WOG (that's 1000 psi on water — your kettle will never get close).
The 3-piece design is the reason to buy this one over a cheap two-piece valve. The body is bolted together, so you unbolt it, swing the centre section out, and clean or replace the ball and PTFE seats without unscrewing the valve from the kettle. Hop debris and trub hide behind the ball on every brew day; on a one-piece valve you never get at it, on this one it's a two-minute job. Full-bore flow, quarter-turn lever with a vinyl-dipped handle that stays cool next to a boiling kettle.
Threads are 1/2" BSP (G1/2). The valve outlet is female, so you still need a hose tail, barb or compression fitting to connect a hose — not included. The bulkhead gasket is for flat or gently curved walls; very thin pots (under 0.8 mm) may need a second washer.

Usage
- Drill a 21–22 mm hole 3–5 cm above the pot base — a step drill makes a clean round hole in stainless
- Gasket on the inside of the pot, locknut on the outside; tighten until the gasket just compresses — don't crush it
- PTFE tape on the nipple thread, valve on hand-tight plus a quarter turn, lever pointing where you want it
- Fill the pot with cold water before brew day and check for weeping at the gasket
- Add a 12.7 mm compression fitting for EVABarrier, or a 1/2" BSP hose tail for silicone hose
- Every few brews: unbolt the body, lift out the ball, soak in PBW, re-assemble
