Brewtools Counterflow Chiller Kit B50 - Wort Chiller with CleanCore
The Brewtools Counterflow Chiller Kit is the official fast-chilling upgrade for the Brewtools B50 brewing system - a complete counterflow wort chiller package including two patented CleanCore™ 3-way valves, TC connections, silicone hoses, hose barbs, and Gardena cooling water couplings, all sized and matched to the B50. Everything needed to integrate rapid transfer chilling into your Brewtools setup arrives in one kit, connected and brewing-ready without sourcing a single fitting separately.
The reasoning behind adding a counterflow chiller to a system that already has an integrated cooling jacket is all about speed and the final degrees. The jacket excels at in-kettle cooling - but the closer wort gets to pitching temperature, the smaller the temperature difference driving the heat exchange, and the slower those last degrees come. The counterflow chiller solves exactly that: hot wort flows through the chiller in one direction while cooling water flows in the other, maintaining maximum temperature differential along the full length of the exchanger for fast, efficient heat transfer all the way down. The result is the two-stage cooling workflow Brewtools designed the new generation around - cool the wort in-kettle via the cooling jacket and whirlpool to around 50–60°C, then run it through the counterflow chiller during transfer, landing in the fermenter at pitching temperature in a single pass. Faster, more controlled, more water-efficient than jacket-only cooling, and dramatically gentler on your brew day schedule.
The two included CleanCore™ 3-way valves are what make this a true system integration rather than a bolted-on accessory: they extend the B50's sanitary CleanCore flow-path control to the chiller circuit, letting you route wort through or past the chiller, manage transfer, and run cleaning cycles through the same valve logic as the rest of the system. On the water side, the included Gardena couplings connect the cooling circuit straight to a standard garden hose supply — click on, chill, click off.
Please note: this is the B50 variant, with connection sizes matched to the B50. For the Brewtools B100 and B180, choose the B100/B180 variant of this kit.

Key Features
- Complete counterflow chiller kit matched to the Brewtools B50 — no separate fittings to source
- Two patented CleanCore™ 3-way valves included — full sanitary flow-path control over the chiller circuit
- Two-stage cooling: jacket and whirlpool to ~50–60°C in-kettle, counterflow to pitching temperature during transfer
- Counterflow principle — wort and cooling water flow in opposite directions for maximum heat-exchange efficiency
- TC connections, silicone hoses, and hose barbs included, sized for the B50
- Gardena couplings on the cooling water side — connects directly to a standard garden hose supply

Usage
Best suited for: Fast wort chilling to pitching temperature on the Brewtools B50, two-stage cooling with the integrated cooling jacket and whirlpool, single-pass chilled transfer to the fermenter
Compatible with: Brewtools B50 brewing system, standard garden hose cooling water supply via the included Gardena couplings
Note: This is the B50 variant — connection sizes are matched to the B50. Brewtools B100 and B180 owners need the B100/B180 variant. Sanitise before use by running near-boiling wort or hot water through the chiller for several minutes before beginning the chilled transfer.
